Maryann: Fair Hill Orienteering Marathon?!? Hmmm...there was some post-race drinking yesterday, wasn't there?

Thanks again, Wyatt. I LOVED the course and despite some soreness, I'm still elated over finishing the half!

Sswede: Woohoo, the foot should be all healed by next December...

Tom_O: Well I did some playing around in Condes yesterday on the 1:15 Fair Hill map and was able to fit in a 42.2 km course (without any crossing legs even), so it definitely looks doable. Didn't calculate the climb which would have to be a key course design consideration.

I'll talk to the park to see if they'd be receptive to a 12/6/08 event.

Wyatt: Awesome Tom. I can't believe you played around with that on a day that you were wondering if you'd even be able to walk.

simkiss: Let's get a date fixed pronto for Fair Hill, so I can put it into my calendar. I may try to do the full marathon in 2008.

jtorranc: Sounds like a pretty sensible way to spend time on a day you're going to have trouble even walking. I'd be REALLY impressed if he'd gone out and started testing legs.

BTW, I think I'll probably be up for a Fair Hill Orienteering Marathon next December - it helps to know it's coming well in advance. No promises about the presumed French Creek Orienteering Marathon you'll feel is needed to up the ante the following year.
