I'm going to run a 10k Saturday. Pretty informal. At Okie Christian on their trail that I run on once or twice a week. It's kinda an odd race...they have a 30K, 25K, 20K, 15K, 10K and 5K. Last year I think they only had a TOTAL of about 30 people. Looking back to 2015 or so when it started the 5K had a good winning time in 16's and about 30 runners in it by itself...I'm shooting for 57 minutes but that is 9:10 a mile...I just don't know if I'll have any leg turn over and any adrenaline that might help me run quicker. Of course I have my daily aches and pains so I held off until just now to enter.
Amazing...those landing clips very effectively show the amount of foot impact I feel on every stride. :)
I almost missed the Ironman play...I've given up on calling myself Ironman because in 2009 when I began what is now a 10 year 'comeback' it did not take long to realize I was no longer Ironman...I was Ouchman or WhimpoMan. Constant shutdowns to my training for some minor 'injury' that I could not train through.
