I skipped my first Australian Easter events last year since 1983 breaking a sequence of 35 years in a row.

I enjoyed that orienteeringless Easter so much, this year I'm doing it again. Mind you I'm over 18,000km from the event so it would have been quite an effort to get there.

38 orienteering Easters in a row for me, all in Australia except 1989 (JK) and 1994 (set the courses and then fled the country for a World Cup in NZ).

What about 2017 when the Australian 3 days (aka Easter) was held over the QB3 weekend?

2001 was a classic! Thinking of looking for something similar as an alternative to North Yorkshire next year...

Haha yep that was a legendary trip! Hmm I’d definitely be looking for non-North Yorkshire options if I were you. We’re in for a good one down here - awesome granite terrain near where JWOC was...

Can second Craneys endorsement. I'm course setting one of the days for Easter 2020. Well worth a trip down under. A copy of the old map of one area which will be used for two of the days...

And I'll also support it. Probably in the top five areas I've run in in Australia.
