I did a similar thing on that control, except the one I went to was even further away, and the whole time I was going to it, I was telling myself it was wrong. I expected the code to not match when I checked it, and of course it didn't. I had passed even closer to the right control than you did, but it seemed like there was a significant reentrant right before it, and I can't see that on the map.
