I was chatting with some people on some threads here, and someone said that you moved to Bozeman or something to study and were looking for maps to run on..... Is that right, and is Tyra also there with you?

Saw that thread too haha. Happy to say the map is in fact getting some use. And yes, Tyra just transferred here in January!

If you want some forest maps I would recommend learning to use Karttapullautin to process the lidar around you guys. Idk if you have a car to get to some places but if you read that thread you can see how far some of the lidar is from you guys.

There is a bunch around Helena that I think would be worth processing but right now Im just focusing on the top section closest to Alberta. I might come down if I make a few good ones.

Let me know if you want more information on how to make the maps, it goes really fast and doesn't take almost any effort.

Im just making like tons of maps, and Montana is the closest place with Lidar in the US for me. I feel like you guys could make more use of these maps than me though.

Let me know if you'd be up for some field checking or doing some trainings on these too!

Thanks Michael! My finals just ended so I'm actually heading back home this week for the summer. I got a brief tutorial of KP last summer, and I'm going to give it a try again this summer. I'll definitely reach out to you if I'm back in Bozeman in the fall!
