Out about 30-40 minutes? Sounds serious. Once while cross-country skiing I fell. And came to, miles away, skiing like mad, with bent-up glasses and blood coming down my forehead. Temps were below zero, so could have been worse. No chance to get medical evaluation. But was fine in an hour or so.

At our age there are worse ways to 'go.' Such as spending two years hooked up to feeding, elimination, and respiratory tubes in the ICU. I'd rather die with my skis on.
