This reminded me of a time when I was leaving my (previous) house to go for a training run in a nearby forest. The first ~ 200 meters were down the paved road before turning off onto a neighbor's driveway that led to a trail into the forest. During that first 200 meters a fire truck raced by with lights and siren going. Not something that happens every day in a small town. But yeah after a few mins it was pretty much forgotten.
Fast forward to ~ 30 mins later as I was running on a remote trail that was really an abandoned road through the forest when I came upon a cabin that was fully engulfed in flames, and a couple of people standing there watching it. I stopped and watched with them for a few mins before I heard the distant sound of an approaching siren. ... Oh! This is where that fire truck was heading when I saw it! Wow! Too bad they don't have a navigator on board!
Not that a fire truck could have gotten there the way I did, but had I known "cabin" and the name of the forest, I could have gotten them there a whole lot sooner.
