...reminds me of one of Dennis Cometti's better football commentary lines: "Barlow to Bateman - the Hawks are attacking alphabetically".
I had a very poor theory that (same sex) children in a family were named alphabetically - as you are given a Baby Names Book - alphabetical entries - find one you like - tick that's it.
Next baby - more pages to turn. Worked well for quite (3 families) a while then crashed and burned. So the theory that if you can prove for k=n, k=n+1, k=n+2 then k=1, k=2,k=3... right?
My youngest sister has two boys: one is an A and the other a Z. I think she was confident of a girl on the third attempt but circumstances prevented the opportunity.
tt - sounds like something from "Seven brides for seven brothers" like Adam, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, Ephraim, Frankincense and Gideon.
What about those religious (mostly from the US) families where all the kids' names start with J?
TT - I didn't remember that from Seven Brides... but have quite fond antiquated memories of the movie seen as a child. I guess it helps with remembering the kids' "ages".
We had a neighbours with 11 children, 5 boys all starting with D, and 6 girls all starting with N.
Are my parents part of that religion? Jim, Jane, Jo-Anne, John, then Robert, Richard ;)
