| Bash: | Anyone who knows me well would have caught the nuance in my wording. It's merely "great" news when a friend gets pregnant, but it's "excellent" news when they get engaged. For selfish reasons, "pregnant" gets a slightly lower rating on the friend-joyful-news-o-meter because from now on, they'll need childcare before they're able to come along on any future canoe trips, adventure races, etc. But this disadvantage is offset somewhat by the prospect of having nice, young friends who will be able to tow me some day. |

| Bash: | They are just confused because you're doing things in the reverse order from what people usually do them in, Leanimal. *Imagine* getting married first and then (possibly) having children later, most likely with your spouse. That is soooo old-fashioned. For example, the grapevine says that Zoo fathered 10-15 babies before he got married. But I'm sure that you and Phatty will somehow find a way to muddle through, doing things your way. |
