What'd you get for the summer?

CLDT 1 and CBT 2 platoon leader! So I'm basically spending all of my summer out at Buckner.

I loved being a platoon mentor for CLDT. You're going to have a blast. So glad they made that change, wish it had been in place when I was a cadet. Orienteers generally rock the navigation, whether team members or faculty. I had some fun with an Infantry Tactics Club cadet who wanted to tell me he was on the top of Blackcap Mountain "because the GPS said so." Umm....the slope is still going up about 150m to your left, are you sure about that? He turned out ok, though. ;-)

I had CBT 1 as a SL, and loved that, too. My company leaders were our football QB (now-COL Rick Roper, great guy), head of the defense (now-COL Pat Work, another great guy), the head Rabble Rouser (and she was not to be messed idea where she is now, though) and my sister squad leader was our 150s QB and my best friend's roommate. The senior cadre really set the tone, and we had a blast. I sure thought differently about the Corps Squad experience after that summer, too. Have fun with that. Sounds like you have an amazing summer lined up.

That all sounds like a lot of awesome experiences!! Yeah, I'm pretty excited about everything, especially CBT 2. My PSG is super high-speed and squared away (she used to be on the Sandhurst Black and Gold team), and most of our SLs are too, so I'm looking forward to working with the lot of them.
