I like the idea of timing the exercises.
For now it seems best to just get used to doing the exercises, but timing them could be the next step.
Yeah, for sure just getting into the habit of getting out there and doing them is the most important. It would be interesting to be able to measure improvements, and he does describe one way to do that in the book, with the beep running test thing. I'd be super interested to see how well elite orienteers do compared to inexperienced ones with similar running capacity.
Wow. I wonder if there is any sample exercise available set on random map? Would be fun to see how those are like.
