After taking time out I miss the sport a lot nowadays. The culture, the boys, the same old faces and the variety is what makes it unique and you forget all that when you're putting pressure on yourself to perform. A bit of time off may help you realise this and it's no harm, not like you're spending your time off sat around getting absolutely swollen in the gym like Will Rigg ;)

Totally agree - having a break to focus on other goals really helped me. Orienteering's great but the mental focus it needs can become a grind if you're not hungry
