2018 Google Voice Transcript:

Miss Mann, this is Sergeant Major XXXX from Denver Junior ROTC. I've been notified that the orienteering league plans to have a event out here at Peaceful Valley at the Magness adventure camp sometime tomorrow during the day.

That's totally unacceptable.

We are doing orienteering training for the cadets tomorrow starting at 8 o'clock in the morning and going through until about 5 p.m. in the afternoon. I can't have two different sets of flags and points and all that other stuff out here and young people running around that are not ROTC cadets. You have any questions any problems please give me a call at 303-###-####. Thanks. Bye.

2019 email after I accidentally copied him on a CSOL message:

Thank you for the info about the 5 June orienteering meet at Peaceful Valley. Last year there was a conflict with our training. This was caused by the placement of your points prior to the completion of our training. Please don’t establish your points until after 1400, especially in the area of the fire tower.

We don’t mind sharing the area with your club, but as usual, we will not make this event mandatory for JROTC cadets.

The previous camp director was always very eager to have us set up the O-course as an integrated camp activity -- we would have 100+ participants. He arranged a special steak dinner at the dining hall for the winners, brought us meals & desserts from the dining hall, paid RMOC several hundred dollars for map printing & setup, etc.
