I'm walking around barefoot trying to strengthen my feet, ankles and lower leg muscles...including doing jumping exercises inside on carpet and in the backyard on the grass. I even do a little jogging and quick starts to work the feet and calf muscles...trying everything.
Check out Matzah Ball's training log. He's a couple of years older than you and does some barefoot running.
Thanks. I'm mostly just doing from one side of yard to another a few times...trotting to get the feel of my feet pushing off and my toes 'grabbing' the grass...I also do some jumping jack and 'air' jump ropes barefooted. I squeezed my toes like my foot is a fist 10-20 times a day...it all adds up...slowly.
The ground and grass is are not nearly as conductive to barefoot running. My yard is like Minnesota grass but most fields are too bumpy with not enough grass and too much pointy things to comfortably run...but walking around home and yard like I do is working my feet, ankle and calf muscles in a way that I need to speed up.
I could not find that log. I'll keep and eye out.
