My decision to go straight up the dotted hill rather than sort of across the side of it probably wasn't the best and we ended up tying for fastest split on that leg! I didn't check the northern route option carefully enough.

The other guy followed you straight up the hill but I figured even if it was shorter length the extra walking up the hill would make it slow for me.
Did you make a mistake on 6?

Yep, I came in from the crossing point on the bitumen road directly to the west, turned right and expected it to be the second track on the left. Looking at a recent aerial it doesn't look like the first track exists anymore so I ended up taking the third mapped track and ended up in the mess of single track south of the control, which I had been hoping to avoid by taking that route rather than the one more or less on the straight line. I had an inkling that I'd gone too far but didn't go back to correct and the track I was on seemed rocky enough to be graded as slow, at least for the first part.

Hadrien came in from a crossing further south (there was another track before the actual crossing point) so started from the wrong point and ended up further south again. I'll have to go out and fix that up I think.

That makes sense. I took was going to ride past that second track but then it looked like it had the same direction and bend as the correct one so I took it.

Yeah I glanced at it as I went past but didn't pay enough attention. The third track had the same bends in it so it felt right. I also don't think all the single track is there anymore because I ended up at the T junction track before heading north and didn't see any other tracks on the way.
