Bash:
Temporary stop for a procedure or is this a new experiment?

A temporary stop for a periodic check that I’m not developing the cancers that are sweeping through my mom’s family. 7 children. 3 kids with colon tumours that weren’t found until they were bigger than a fist. 3 other kids with prostate cancer.

Bash:
Are these "kids" in your Mom's generation? Is she OK?

veinbuster:
Yes, the kids are all my mom’s siblings. She was the third with a tumour in her colon. It took her a year to recover proper sensation in her fingertips after her chemo and enjoy playing piano again, but she is cancer free.

Two brothers died from cancer: one colon and the other prostate. Two others have good odds, but are still living with prostate cancer. Only one brother has had no such problems.

The numbers are staggering.

Passed the tests - no sign of anything that shouldn’t be there.
