Lots of scavenging happening on my street already.
The most useful item I found on my travels was a massage table, but I didn't pick it up as I had nowhere to store it.
When Lachlan came home with a kitchen sink scavenged from the pre-cyclone cleanup kerbside displays, Susanne said "What do we want with that? We already have two!" They found a good kiddie stroller the next cyclone season though.
I was once in the very posh Perth suburbs of Peppermint Grove and Mosman Park at hard rubbish time. I was half-expecting to see a yacht put out on the hard rubbish somewhere.
I've put a downriver racing kayak, a bike and old skis out in the hard rubbish collection. Needless to say they disappeared with the first passing sporty person. Off to a good home!
