Oh so steep! It must be 1500m or so in 6-7km (and you're descending for half of that 6-7km!)
Thank you, was pretty happy with it all considered, but will have to come back. Have you run it many times yourself?

I just did it the once. My shoe split coming down the first Pap it was so steep. It sort of held together with an ankle gaiter but came apart in the bog at the end. Tough day! I always meant to go back, but it's quite a trip to get there and there are so many races and only so much time... You were a bit unlucky, the weather is usually good!

Ah sounds like I was less unlucky than you! I can easily imagine a shoe splitting on that descent, but don't want to think of the remainder with 1 functioning shoe.
I reckon while maybe the weather this ruined the views, it mightn't have been the worst for racing. Navigation was probably a bit trickier, but a long day in the sun with little water options could have killed me.
Agreed - hope to go back a few times anyway, but hard to choose from the many races.
