I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I remember it being very rugged but some long rough compass legs that allowed one to giddy-up. I really enjoyed the terrain. It may have been the only time I won a M21 race in the Gats. ;-) I will see if I can dig up my map (pre AP days)

Looks like the Smith boys were both in the hunt as well.
Remember the "Short" was in Kempville, did you win that too? I remember Mark Innes had a wicked run as a Jr.

I remember something frustrating about that Kemptville race but I don't remember what it was. I don't think I won. I think I only ever won one "short" COCs.

Early days of the Short so I don't think the course was very interesting. Map looks a little green.
Ottawa had a really good relay at March Highlands in 96, I ran with NS and we got on the podium (thanks Pam!) Then you had the US races in Harriman which were amazing.

Yup the races at Harriman were indeed awesome. To my knowledge it is the only time those WOC maps were used for a full on O-fest (i.e. more than just a weekend race).
