I find open terrain fascinating...

...but whatever floats your boat

Why are the contours of most hills purple?

Contours = Hills
Purple = Depressions

It's what the auto generated maps pop out, since it is hard for computers to generate slope/tag lines in legible places.

Fascinating terrain - even without forest.

I would straight up hold NAOC or WOC here, I think it would be worth talking to the Laraime Range Orienteering club. Its a really nice area in the mountains (the Tetons) and would be pretty cool. Theres alot of lidar lying around so Im just gonna make like 6 or so big maps.

Stay tuned for other parts that are even better!

(I don't like open terrain because it gets much easier to navigate because you can see very far) but I think its great to mix for speed changes into races especially a long distance!

Probably going to go down here to train for a week too sometime in the future. Cheaper than going to Europe!!

Yeah night training is the only way to make it really good. Except there's still no forest haha. Sometimes it gets dark pretty late too.

AND you need to bring a light! HAHA omg if you read my night training earlier this week.... :'(
