Sounds like it was minging!! And pretty full on - really well done :-) Just as well there was an Orienteer up there then to sort them all out.
You've not sold the organisation much though? That sounds pants!! Hope the legs ease soon.

Their information and communication was majorly pants. And I was just glad I had taken a map as it wasn’t even compulsory kit (not that any kit check was done). Shame as it is the most awesome route ever, and the full thing would be seriously epic. But I doubt I will go back unless they up their game on the communications front.
Fab weekend with good friends though!

Yes, I really liked the look of the route :-)
I find it hard on the sky races where they say the route is flagged and give you a basic map you can't nav off. On the lakes sky race the other year, flags were blown away and I lost sight of flags & people right near the end, thankfully had my own os map and did bearing, but at that point gorge note been following where you are either. Think following flags in mountains in Britain doesn't work too well - we have proper weather!! But weekend with friends sounds perfect :-)

Agree - and it's really quite a big safety risk if you do lose the flags. The girl at the front of the pack who had got lost was really freaking out quite a lot, but very very grateful when I helped get us all back on track!
