Wasn't your training at Christmas Tree Creek today?

Rachel:
The hard level group did a line course "warm up" on Red Hill, then a course on Christmas Tree Creek. The 3k course used almost every part of Christmas Tree Creek so doing another exercise on there would have detracted from the course. Only problem is I haven't been on that part of Red Hill in years, and as I feared, the vegetation and tracks have changed somewhat which makes it harder, especially for the less experienced.

I've never run on Red Hill. Sounds like I won't be missing much on July 7.

The Red Hill map has two distinct sides, east and west, which are quite different terrain. The East has more trees. The West has more rocks and low, scrubby vegetation. They are starting the July event on the east side. We did training through there last year in autumn I think, when Bjarne was here. I found it quite nice, but it still has enough undergrowth that it is quite tiring.
