Shortly after I first started getting into orienteering I made a stop at the map store in Harvard Square and bought a few NEOC maps, that being one of them. Made a visit in November of 2002, at which point it was already badly in need of an update.

Yeah, that map was basically abandoned long ago. It was never very good, because it consisted mostly of narrow strips of land between uncrossable water. Early on, it was the map I had orienteered on the most times, but there were only so many usable control features, so there were a lot of repeats. Not worth updating in my opinion, but there's a nearby piece of land (Rattlesnake Hill) that does have promise.
