Well, it was only £250. Wouldn't even cover travel costs, but the main thing was that people had a nice time. Shame you couldn't make it. Next year?...

I've just read your 2 really interesting comments about how the event came to pass & your intentions in planning it, plus the constraints that TV imposed on the event. I had wondered how much input you & Jon had into how the event was presented, particularly as the TV company couldn't have any experience of how to make live orienteering interesting & exciting. It's a real pity that they didn't show the GPS tracking, as all the interesting racing took place in the forest. Still, very well done for making it happen; it was wonderful watching orienteering live on British TV.
