I have a ten year old Princeton apex that I haven’t used much but plan to use this weekend. I put some fresh batteries in and it works fine but I noticed some oxidization or maybe old battery acid in a couple of contacts.

Should I clean that up and if so, with what?

'Bent:
Scrub it with a pen eraser, and afterwards try a Q-tip with vinegar on the contacts.

Pen or pencil?

Pen, the more abrasive scratchy one.

Ok, thank you.

I still have my old Apex and use it occasionally. It’s not state of the art but it’s still a good light.

I pimped Bash’s apex. The first generation were weak.

I think mine was later than first generation. Was a good light fir sure, just not used too much since I pretty much avoid races that would require it.

Got 90% of the stuff off with a toothbrush and the vinegar. Thanks again!!

Too bad you're not closer. We could lend you 10 or 20 headlamps as spares.
