Just imagine how much your desire to train properly would increase if you entered a race... say the first weekend in November maybe?

Nah, I've entered the orienteering nationals. That's much more within my current 'mega Endurance range'. :-)
I do not think I will pick up a paddle between now and 2028 let alone *train*...
