Holy crap!! I hope the hero beagles get extra treats!
Wow! Did you consider unleashing the beagles on him? I'm impressed with your bravery!
A little more description - Bit of excitement today at end of morning walk...became aware that woman was having her purse stolen, after the guy smashed in her car window. Likely, he was going after the car, but she came out from the Homewood, where she worked, and caught him getting into her car. So, the Three Beagleteers and I went towards them, with me screaming to the guy to leave her alone. Poor B squealing a bit since he was getting tangled up and pinched in all of the excitement. Thief let go of purse, throwing it at woman, and then start menacing/threatening woman, me, and the other woman isn area who was calling 911. He had a screwdriver and another had been dropped in the damaged car. We all started retreating from him, and he got into a bright yellow Chevy muscle car and peeled away. Unable to tell if he was driver or passenger.
I didn’t consider unleashing the Three Beagleteers because I didn’t want to chance the guy kicking or hurting them. He had a limp, so I felt safe enough from a distance. He did act like he was pointing a gun at me initially, like a gangster, and then also reached into the front of his pants later and was shouting foul things at us. Feels good to do the right thing but also come out unscathed. The right thing isn’t always the best/safe thing.
Lots of freshly baked turkey breast for the troops at noon meal.
Good for you! And did I miss you getting a third beagle?????
Thanks all! And, no third beagle until at least after I retire. Just watching Boomer for the week while his people are out of town. They watch Pepper and Dee for us in return. A very good deal, especially since Pepper would be do stressed if we had to board her.
With everyone taking video these days, the oddest (?) part of the day was that I didn’t break out the phone and video. Thought about it but staying safe was a factor, and I didn’t want to inflame the guy further.
Wow! Glad you were unscathed!! And kudos for trying to help.
Quite a story! Glad you all came out of it A-OK.
Unbelievable! You and the Beagleteers are very brave.
Wow! I'm impressed with your quick thinking and the beagles' aggressiveness, and very happy nothing happened to any of you.
