The next challenge will be resolving the conflict between: 4 week absence to lose her room at her residence and 6 week prescribed rehab period. Due date the end of this week. I’m reasonably happy with handling of seniors in our area, but this is an odd one to navigate. Both the residence staff and the medical staff know that it isn’t an uncommon situation but seem to accept it as an absolute.

Strange that they aren’t just content to get paid for the room, knowing they don’t have to clean and paint it for someone new.

I thought the same, but I don’t think they get to decide that. I think it is driven by provincial guidelines. London mom is in a private facility so they were happy to be paid for as long as she was out - just under 6 weeks when she broke her hip earlier this year.

I’ll navigate through it.
