At last--Laramie Daze has hit the big time. And to think some people said it would never, ever happen.

Well, it has been listed on that page before. Perhaps I missed adding it this year because it was a last-minute thing and I was in Scotland....

Laramie Daze IS big time. :-)

Ah, another dilemma: can I get away with going to Laramie instead of making sure my kids make it to the first week of school?

Wouldn't be the first time I've gotten a call to my campsite inquiring where they were...

Janet--you didn't miss adding it this year, because it was only just decided Sunday afternoon.

Tory, there are plenty of schools you can enroll your kids in around here. U. of W., LCCC, various Albany County public schools, the Montessori school, etc. There may even be online courses offered by Hudson High--who knows, and I'm sure we could find some gray garb at the local Nu to U store.

I think the point I took away from that little incident (which was an earlier Daze) was to not be in school and do more orienteering...I miss that!

A thought:

A bunch of Europeans are planning to come to the US for the CA O Fest / NAOC / WRC (!!). They're also likely to hit some of the big national parks: Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon.

If Laramie Daze followed WRC (Aug 1-2) by a week or two, it might become part of some visitors' grand western US tour plans?

I'm not sure they'll bring microwaves, though.

Or maybe the fine folks in California could be convinced to shift their event dates to take advantage of the always massive numbers of folks who will be traveling to Laramie Daze. I bet we will have 75 or more people easily!
