If you put the description as "other" rather than "orienteering", no-one on AP will find it in the event list!
Well, there was no category for rogaining, and it's NOT the same as orienteering, so I didn't know what else to do...
I just whack rogaines under orienteering because it's generally the same thing (i.e. navigation on foot). Seems others do too (North American rogaine champs are there).
MTBO typically ends up under orienteering too even though it could also go into cycling/MTB.
Currently your rogaine is the only event listed under Other on the whole of AP!
Mind you, half the event types have no events listed (mountaineering, XC skiing, ski orienteering, swimming, obstacle racing, paddling, rowing...) Perhaps you could ask Ken to add it as an event type since it'd get more use than many of those (I just changed the Bright 4 Peaks to mountaineering so that it has one)
Ah well, I've changed it to orienteering now - against my better judgement. We are getting Bridget to design the event logo :)
Well it seems Rogaining is now a category in "events" so I've changed your event to be there. Someone must have had Strong Words with Ken about it. MTB Orienteering also now has its own category.
You know what though, it means that the thread I started when entries opened has now vanished from view of anyone who has orienteering as their primary sport in their profile...
