Was on way to uni (1st year in new Corolla - 4 months old). Stopped behind a concrete truck at a lights and noticed spray of small concrete crumbs coming out while the drum rotated. Gah what to do? Got to Uni and spent maybe 15 minutes flicking concrete off bonnet of my Manina Tourquise Corolla 750 in the carpark.. Ah my poor little car.

I parked in the street outside an op shop with not a car parked in sight in either direction. I was standing behind my car as a van drew up behind and then jumped out of the way when it became apparent it was not going to stop. In slow motion, the van then drove into the back of my new car. Bump! The driver was smiling and I was so convinced he was completely mad that l jumped into my car and sped off, not assessing the damage until down the street. Luckily none!

This is why you should never buy a new car - someone will run into it. I've never had anyone hit any of my second hand cars in the 20+ years I've been driving (doesn't mean I haven't done the same to someone else or otherwise just written them off).

One of my second-hand cars was run into twice (two separate occasions) while I was driving it, so it's a good thing you're not a statistician/probabilist.

tt, I have friends who nicknamed their car Dimples after it was caught in a hailstorm!
