Most of that's familiar territory in some form or other - you'd have gone right past WMO (it's across the road from the entrance to the botanical gardens) and I quite often stay in the old town when I'm there - though I've never run up Saleve. The ILO building must be one of the ugliest in western Europe but at least the topography means you can't see it from too far away.

Geneva Airport's not a bad one to do runs from if you find yourself between flights there - as you say, you can easily get into a nice suburb to run in, and there are lockers in the airport station.

The novelty has also never worn off of being able to go to another country on a run - there are places around Geneva where the only way you know you've crossed the border is that the font on the house numbers has changed.
