Unsoliceted advice here, but do you define tempo as threshold pace? If so, your pace is too fast (I would assume your max HR is about 190?) and the interval too short to get the training effect one would want from a threshold run. Are you using a training plan or guide? Daniels' book has lots of info on types of plans and the paces and distances.

I have a coach and this was my assigned workout. Not too diferent from a Daniels cruise interval workout, really.

I probably should check out Daniels' book but I think it's pretty technical, no?
I usually stick with Hal Higdon, because it's easy enough to understand.
I miss having a coach. :-( It's so much easier to just be told what to do!
