I just feel like everything is hard and getting my heart rate way up even when it's a slow pace. And it feels like nothing's getting easier and I'm not getting faster. Idk.

Yeah, I don't know what to say to that except keep pushing through. Every day might feel hard, but one day you're going to look down at your watch and realize that you've been running a lot faster than you were able to in the past and it's going to make all these hard days feel worth it

Weather? I discovered in Iraq that heat makes a really significant difference.

It's possible. I guess we'll see if that is part of it as it gets cooler. It would be quite nice if that was the issue but I have a feeling it's more than that.

You have good days, you have bad days. You get quicker, but are pushing just as hard. Some days are just a drag though.
And you think running is frustrating, try cycling all the above, plus all the mechanical faffing. :)
And on top of that, you start to get old. But you've got a long way to go before that, favourite niece.

Yea running can be tough sometimes, but with bad runs comes good runs too and you just gotta hang in there and work hard until the time comes and it all pays off.
