Yeah, I don't understand how they could have got the colours so wrong this time when the version we were given 2 years ago was printed perfectly. Wonder if they didn't do proper test prints? I heard of many people (including myself) who struggled to find the start triangle when they picked up their map!

The 2017 was printed by our local printers in Wagga... all the Oceania maps were printed in Canberra. The first test prints of Kildare I got here horrible, and I still wasn’t happy with the final versions that we used (but naturally we ran out of time). I didn’t rate the printing of Connorton either

printed in Canberra on a number of different printers is what I heard. That is why there are variations in the print quality

When I ran the ACT middle distance champs at Wee Jasper a few weeks ago the printing had rubbed off the page between two controls and in the area of the control circle. I was left looking vaguely for an area of bare rock in the midst of a boulder field.

I spoke to the bloke who organised the printing, and he explained there was a higher quality option, but it would cost about 50 cents more per map. Personally I’d happily pay that difference.
