No, not particularly. :) The only flooding I remember from the rainfall incident when I was there was in the interior of my CLU. I still have some wrinkly books from then.
For those new here, a Cristina AP post about a storm when she was posted in Dijbouti (about 10 years back) formed the basis of a section in that year's State of the Climate report. (Getting standard observations from many parts of Africa is easier said than done).
I visited Djibouti for work several years before Cristina was there -- late 90s I think. Summer. Hottest place I ever experienced. But overall it was very cool.
Then again, I was there for about 3 days.
