they become Noisy Majors? They are extremely social bird. Often they fly to "join" me while I'm hanging washing or watering garden - both times I'm suspicious as I'm sure they are casing the joint.

I think it's actually MinEr...not to be confused with the introduced Myna. Often they swoop the dog when we are out walking - one website describes them as "particularly pugnacious".

Er yes. I think mine are Noisy MinERs. The native variety. They gang up on me when l do the gardening - particularly if l start pruning the tree with the possum nest in it. They are surprisingly protective of the possums (ringtail variety).

Interesting article. Funny that you can have a conversation with a Myna. Mine are Noisy Miners, so the conversation is all one-way.
