depending on your schedule you may be able to find a few hours of daylight every day for the next little while you can run in but regardless I definitely suggest you invest in a good headlamp. You will need it for the next 5 months or so...
I strongly believe all the night orienteering people do is one of the reason the Scandis are good navigators. I am sure you will notice a difference after a fall/winter with lots of night O.
I think I'll start looking for one.
Well, I can say day orienteering almost feels too easy in the most recent competitions, thanks to struggling in the dark the past few weeks.
Yep. Night orienteering is such good training because it is that much harder and forced you to be that much more careful and accurate. Bad habits cost you sooo much more T night.
like forgetting a compass, SI, shoes, .... headlamp..... ;-)
It's all good, those bad habits cost me the same regardless of night or day
