I'm imagining a hybrid paddlecycle event where in fact people are pedalling around Lake Macquarie in the sort of paddleboats which can be hired on the River Torrens 'lake'.

There was some discussion about secretive small motors a la suspected bike cheating in road racing circles. I didn't say it too loudly but wondered if anyone was going to erect a small mast and sail.

Don't need a mast and sail, just need to sit up and unzip your cycling top... voila!!

And... if the cyclist is female it has the added advantage of distracting everyone else.
