I apologise for some control placements. Lucy did a good job putting out and setting for her first course. She has learnt a lot.
I did put out the rock one as best I could and the Waite arboretum one. The GPS said I was in the right place... map is weird.

Maybe best route for 15 controls was to avoid brown hill area?? And only do flat? Not entirely sure. The scatter was tricky.

Unfortunate thing about GPS setting is that the competitors don't have them, only the weird map! Been tempted to set rogaine controls that way but if I can't find a feature with the map then I don't set it.

It was a really good course for a scatter!

My only gripe was that because they hadn't used the longer chains, the placement of the actual control/SI unit was limited to where a cable tie could be placed around something of very small circumference and that's why the control on the track bend wasn't anywhere near the track bend.

As for the arboretum...possibly my bearing was weird but definitely so were the trees. (Would be keen to compare against the sprint map of Waite.)

Nah the control on the track bend could have been cabled tied to the corner
