That will be it for O' for this year

Ah, yes, but we'll have to do some training over the winter to be ready for O' in the spring :)

I for one am so happy to see you running a little and orienteering some. It's great that you're enjoying it and not hurting too much.

It's been surprising. I guess my butt is doing a little better. I think a contributing factor is all the hikes Gail and I have been doing. I haven't had to stop regularly on the uphills to let it calm down. And then I've tried little bits of running, max so far is 2 minutes at a time and even that is a struggle, but it is better. And so the orienteering has gotten more appealing.

Note that I really didn't enjoy the O' at Gunstock, forest too rough, but the social aspect was great. But the last two weekends, Ansonia and Wachusett, I've found the orienteering very satisfying. An unexpected pleasure.

The concern, of course, at this age and feeling vulnerable, the same concern I have when biking (or driving a car), is a crash/fall and in a split second your life is changed. I can't just stop doing things. But I sure am trying to be careful.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Agreed. It is most excellent to see you out there orienteering again!
