I think Liam is just that much better than the rest of us.

But we have the same rating for pennants.

Actually, my doubles rating is much better than his.

Is your rating calculated by 220 plus your age?

Craig:
In doubles my rating is 6 and Liam is 8+. Lower numbers are better but 8+ is better than 8. In singles we are both 6+ but I can't win a game against him.

Liam's maximum heart rate on Saturday was 207 and mine was 171. I'm only 47 but I do keep thinking I'm 49.

I got mine up to 184 in the morning and 186 in the afternoon but I can get it to around 188-190.

The tennis ratings are interesting to follow, but usually because they give us a good laugh at how ridiculous they are. They change every week yet they so often don't give a good representation of the player and how well (or not) they have been playing. I don't know what system they use to calculate them but whatever it is it seems somewhat flawed.
Sometimes kids have been playing number 1 and beating good players and their rating gets worse while a kid on the same team who has been playing number 3 and losing to ordinary players suddenly jumps ahead of the good player in the ratings and is forced to play number 1. Then the club has to contact Tennis West and get an exception if it is to their benefit to get the better player back in number 1 or just keep quiet about it while it works to their advantage.
