We've been a few times since moving back to PA, but its smallness is less appealing to me now. Still, a fun place to visit if we're in the area for something else, and the new map looks great! (except for the use of the ISSOM trail symbol for the bigger trails -- weird)

I *attended* Roberts School (not the old one you started from, but the previous incarnation of the elementary school you park near) from K-6. We played in the playgrounds and fields behind the school, and the chimney you had as one of your control sites was visible from the grounds, making a perfect pretend "witch's tower" (I grew up on the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales).

The little road extension on the east side of King of Prussia Rd (the eastern boundary of the park) just south of your number 5 was the road on which I grew up. Don't fool yourself that I never went in those woods despite it being private property at the time....

Do you have any idea what the short black lines crossing the road might have been? They look a bit like power lines that cross the road, but the main power line isn't shown.

I did the night-o two years ago, but missed last year's that was rescheduled. I have never been there during the day! I think the whole map is ISSOM, hence the trails being like that? It's just not as obvious since there aren't many sprint-specific symbols needed in other places.

I didn't notice those lines last night, but looking at Google maps it does appear they are power lines that come across from a main line on the other side of the road. No idea why, since I don't think there's anything over there that requires power, unless they were placed for houses that never happened.

The map I have was from before it was remapped to (I guess) sprint standard. Did you think having the more major trails mapped wider helped?

I should have looked at Google maps! The photo that shows up if you search on "Red Oak Terrace Wayne, PA" shows the house I grew up in at the center of the photo (above the blue car). ;-)
