Stressful way to start your maturity leave. I stlll think the system is weird that Sofie is not allowed to go to daycare when you are on maturity leave. I mean, for at least 1-2 months after the baby is born, that would be a nice relief. Oh well, can't change the system, I guess.

Oh man! That sounds rough!

Also - agree that it seems ridiculous that Sophie can’t go to preschool while you are on maternity. At least for the first two months. But even later it’s a bummer that she can’t play with her friends just because there is another baby.

She actually can go full-time one month before I'm due and one month after the baby is born. Some of that will probably overlap with the Christmas break, as the preschool doesn't open again until January 7. But Ross also gets 2 weeks off after the baby is born, so at least he'll be around then too. And then she goes only 20 hours a week, Monday-Thursday 9-2, which means I'll probably have to do drop off and pick up all days.
