No, it's not sourdough. It's "The Saturday White Bread" from "Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast" by Ken Forkish. I finally decided to get serious about bread-making after many years of ho-hum loaves. So, I started at square one and read all about the science of bread making, and that seemed to have helped.
I woke up this morning, and the first thing I thought was, "I made beautiful bread yesterday." It made me smile.

Addie and I have each made this bread
several times recently. It's an innovative method, and works well. She makes a hand-formed round loaf, I put it in bread pans. She uses a Kitchenaid, I knead by hand. Works either way.
