I need you to finish the story :-)
We walked 100m to the jetty (in our full waterproofs). Sat on the boat for 45 minutes, then had bacon (and eggs for Aoife/coffee for me), spend some $$$ at the visitor centre, had some hot chips, played cards, caught the bus back to Launceston, checked into the hotel. Aoife had nuggets and chips for dinner. I had lamb shank, a Skillogallee sparkling Riesling and an Abels Tempest Pinot Noir. Great way to spend the day!
Those who walked on Sunday were very wet, cold, muddy and miserable. People we'd said goodbye to on Saturday as they planned walking the whole way out and finish on Tuesday also bailed at the ferry and we met up again at Sunday lunch. One of those days...
Aoife went swim training this morning. I wore my running gear, but it was too smoky to head out and enjoy myself.
Thank you. I am more in tune with the food and wine celebrations than the leeches....well done both of you!
I always knew you were a chicken nuggets kind of girl!
