Impressive boredom threshold, you must have a new boxset to watch ;-)

would be intolerable without dvds - much happier now the ice is melting!

Excellent. I've just started series 4 of Breaking Bad.

Aha - I've watched a lot of box-sets over the years, of very varying quality :-) Thought BB started well but don't think I made it to season 5

It improved in the last two series IMHO.
Luther on the Beeb is a good series...

@Lard: I've not seen that - might check it out, although it will be difficult to see Idris Elba as anyone other than Stringer Bell :-)
Just finished Homeland season 7 and Killing Eve season 2...

I wondered what the fuss was all about with BrBa to start with, but seasons 3 and 4 (so far) have been relatively diverting, I'm hoping it doesn't jump the shark the way Big Bang Theory did - I had to give up on that last winter, somewhere around the beginning of season 7. The Wire is on my shopping list (and maybe Parks & Recreation, although I hear that also took a dive in season 4, we shall see). And although not strictly a boxset I recently got The Godfather trilogy (plus another DVD of extras) at a knock-down price :-)

Oh, how the winter passes ...

The Wire is #1 on my alltime list, followed by Twin Peaks, Person of Interest, Westworld and The Bridge
