Mmm - spectacular landscapes, fantastic paddling, amazing-looking meals (although I don't think I'd know what to order), a bazillion motorcycles, friendly dogs, some very non-free-range animals, and much more. Looks great - it would be interesting to get a guided tour of the photo album if we're ever in the same province!

You've got a deal... not sure when we will be in the same province though.

Food was actually fairly simple as at many of the hotels or homestays we stayed at you could choose to eat "family dinner" which was pretty much them making dinner for all the guests.

In Hanoi many of the street food vendors make only one dish so you are essentially choosing what you want to eat (bun cha or pho for instance) before choosing the restaurant.
