You've inspired me to start on the rowing machine. I get free pass to the Natatorium. 1/8 mile track, rowing machines, stair mill and a cool machine called the Jacob's Ladder. Now my exercise can be more than just running. Must be needed because I'm sore!
there ya go, cross training will elevate you to the podium at the pricker-gaine!
is it a concept II rowboat?
So I know if I'm on the right track, I'd like to know how far you row on the machine. I'm up to 1200 m at a 700 kC/hr pace. I'm also doing the Jacob's Ladder machine. 750 feet in 10 minutes.

i use concept II rowboat, most often i do 16 minutes, somewhat for exercise and a good warmup prior to lifting weights. Most often 3,100- 3,400 meters. I think the pace is about 2:30/500m. thats sort of the benchmark in rowing is your pace/500 meters. back in the day 2 minutes/500 m is good. Concept II has a really good website. I try to do their 100,000 m holiday challenge which is trying to complete that distance from thanksgiving to christmas eve, its usually about 3,300 meters/day which is 15-20 minutes of torture every day!
I haven't done much because somehow i've messed up the front of my left shoulder, and i get these odd pains, so no lifting, rowing, rollerski, even cycling , which i hurt it on mtn bike.
I will see if I can do 1000 m in 2:30. I'll check to see what brand they have. It looks like the one I see on Amazon. I like how it gives me a good breeze.
haha, you'll be bummed, try 1000 meters in 5 minutes!
After running 4 miles in 31:30, I did 580 m in 2:30 and 1500 in 7:10.
I'm doing 1600 m in 7:50. This is doing wonders for my core. Can really feel a difference.
thats great there bob, the power of the rowboat rules. my left shoulder is still messed up after 2 months, so i haven't done rowing, lifting, roller skiing, anything that stresses it, even the cycling does. So hmmmmm next perhaps the two wheeled device of torture ? Do you swim at all?
