We looked at a place at Tubbut in 2004, which would have suited us superbly, except the trip to it was not a "weekend's" worth. Saw recently that Tubbut was threatened by fire. Son most distressed.

This is 3 hours' drive away - but there are no less than six O maps in the vicinity. It would be so cool to have as an orienteering holiday house (for people whose cars have good clearance).

I'm pretty sure this would cost rather more than ONSW paid for Belanglo Hut 40+ years ago, but it does come with 400 acres of mallee scrub :)
